Endurance Redefined: Co-founder Alex Pastorkovich's Journey to Mastering the Moab 240 Through Training, Nutrition, and Recovery

Training for a 240-mile race is the ultimate test of every aspect of your being: physical and mental endurance, strength, discipline, and consistency. It’s not just about logging miles; it’s about fueling those miles with the right nutrition, supplementation, and recovery strategies. You’re asking your body to endure the equivalent of nine marathons, often over 60 to 100+ hours. To do that, your body needs to be primed not only for the run but for rapid recovery, allowing you to keep moving when everything else is screaming to stop.

Running might be the cornerstone of training, but I’d argue that mastering nutrition and recovery is just as crucial. With such intense physical demands, everything from electrolytes to micronutrients must be meticulously balanced to keep your body functioning at its peak.

This October, the Moab 240 will be a beautiful culmination of 10 months of unwavering consistency and dedication. Every day has been a step toward this moment, each with its own challenges and victories. The key is never losing sight of your “why” and showing up, even when every fiber of your being begs you to quit. There will be tough days and good days, but if you stay the course, you’ll find yourself exactly where you need to be.
